Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 can (8 oz) water chestnuts, chopped
3 green onions, sliced
1 head butter lettuce (or romaine)
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil and the ground chicken. Break it apart and cook until no longer pink, about 5 to 6 minutes.
2. Stir in the garlic and ginger. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Pour into the skillet and mix well.
4. Add chopped water chestnuts and green onions to the skillet. Cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.
5. Spoon the mixture into individual lettuce cups and serve immediately.
Notes
Use butter lettuce for easy-to-fold, cup-like wraps.
You can prep the filling in advance and reheat when ready to serve.
Add a dash of sriracha for heat or chopped peanuts for extra crunch.
