Description

Angel Chicken Rice Casserole is a creamy, comforting dinner made with tender chicken breasts, fluffy rice, and a rich cream cheese sauce. This easy baked chicken casserole is perfect for family dinners, meal prep, and cozy weeknight meals.

Ingredients

2 cups uncooked white rice

2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts

10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup

8 ounces cream cheese softened

2 cups chicken broth

1 packet Italian seasoning mix

3 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a casserole dish.

2. Spread the uncooked rice evenly across the bottom of the dish.

3. Place the chicken breasts on top of the rice.

4. Mix soup, cream cheese, broth, butter, seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth.

5. Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken and rice.

6. Cover tightly and bake for 60 minutes until tender.

7. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture.

Seal the dish well so the rice cooks evenly.
