Description
This Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Quesadillas recipe is a warm, comforting morning treat with spiced apples and golden crisp tortillas. It’s an easy stovetop breakfast, combining maple syrup, cinnamon, and either cream cheese or cheddar. Perfect for fall mornings, brunch, or cozy weekend breakfasts.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon butter
2 medium apples (peeled, diced)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon maple syrup
2 medium flour tortillas (8-inch)
2 tablespoons cream cheese or 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Peel and dice the apples.
2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add apples, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Cook for 6–8 minutes until softened.
3. Spread cream cheese or cheddar on one half of a tortilla. Spoon cooked apples over the cheese.
4. Fold the tortilla in half to close.
5. In a clean skillet, melt a bit of butter. Toast each quesadilla on both sides until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side.
6. Let cool slightly, slice into wedges, and serve warm.
Notes
Use Honeycrisp or Fuji apples for best texture.
Cream cheese gives a rich, smooth taste, but cheddar adds savory contrast.
Tortillas should be medium-sized for the best balance of filling and crispness.
