Description

Baked Southern Roadhouse Ribs are tender, oven-baked baby back ribs with a smoky dry rub and sticky BBQ glaze. Perfect for family dinners or game day feasts, these Southern-style ribs fall off the bone and bring bold flavor without a grill. A classic comfort food favorite and must-try dinner recipe.

Ingredients

1 rack baby back ribs

3 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke

1/2 cup your favorite BBQ sauce

Instructions

1. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.

2. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to make a dry rub.

3. Rub the mixture thoroughly over both sides of the ribs.

4. Wrap the ribs tightly in foil and place on a baking sheet.

5. Bake at 275°F (135°C) for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

6. Carefully remove the ribs from foil and brush with BBQ sauce mixed with apple cider vinegar and liquid smoke.

7. Broil for 5-7 minutes until sauce is bubbling and caramelized.

8. Let ribs rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let ribs rest before slicing for juicier results.

Use your preferred level of spiciness in the dry rub.

For extra flavor, marinate the ribs overnight before baking.
