Description

A vibrant Balsamic Strawberry Caprese made with juicy strawberries, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil, drizzled with tangy balsamic glaze. This easy summer salad is perfect as a light lunch, elegant appetizer, or refreshing side dish. Great for warm-weather entertaining and full of fresh flavor.


Ingredients

4 oz fresh strawberries

4 oz fresh mozzarella

1 handful fresh basil leaves

1 tbsp balsamic glaze

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

pinch salt

pinch freshly ground black pepper


Instructions

1. Hull and slice the strawberries into ¼-inch thick pieces.

2. Slice the fresh mozzarella into rounds about the same thickness as the strawberries.

3. On a serving platter, alternate the strawberry and mozzarella slices in a line or circle.

4. Tuck fresh basil leaves between the slices or place on top.

5. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze.

6. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.

7. Serve immediately while fresh, or refrigerate briefly before serving.

Notes

This salad is best served fresh and chilled.

Use ripe, in-season strawberries for the sweetest flavor.
