Ingredients
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sweet relish
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
1⁄4 teaspoon onion powder
1⁄4 teaspoon paprika
1 pound ground beef
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
6 small flour tortillas
6 slices American cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
1⁄4 cup chopped white onion
1⁄4 cup diced dill pickles
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet relish, mustard, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to create the special sauce. Set aside or refrigerate until ready to use.
2. Divide ground beef into 6 equal portions and gently form them into balls. Season with salt and pepper on both sides.
3. Heat a skillet or griddle to medium-high heat. Place one beef ball onto the hot surface, top it with a tortilla, and press firmly with a spatula to smash the beef flat into the tortilla.
4. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the beef is browned and crispy. Flip the tortilla and top the beef with one slice of American cheese. Let the cheese melt while the tortilla toasts.
5. Remove from skillet and immediately top with shredded lettuce, chopped onions, diced pickles, and a generous spoonful of special sauce.
6. Serve hot with extra sauce on the side if desired.
