Ingredients
8 breakfast sausage links
1 can crescent roll dough
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg
1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
1. Cook the breakfast sausage links according to package instructions and let them cool slightly.
2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles (or cut your pastry if using puff or biscuit dough).
3. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese onto each dough piece.
4. Place a sausage on the wide end of the dough and roll tightly, tucking in the ends.
5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
6. Brush each roll with beaten egg.
7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and puffed.
8. Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup or dipping sauce if desired.
Notes
These are best served warm, but you can refrigerate and reheat in the oven or air fryer.
