Description

These Brown Sugar Pineapple Wings are sweet, tangy, and oven-baked to crispy perfection. Perfect for parties or easy dinners, this pineapple chicken wings recipe combines bold tropical flavors with sticky caramelized glaze for a crowd-pleasing dish.


Ingredients

2 pounds chicken wings

1 cup pineapple juice

½ cup brown sugar

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional)

1 tablespoon water (for slurry, optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.

2. Pat chicken wings dry and arrange on the rack. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.

3. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

4. In a saucepan, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Simmer until reduced by half. Add cornstarch slurry if a thicker glaze is desired.

5. Toss baked wings in the glaze, then broil for 2 to 3 minutes until sticky and bubbling.

6. Serve hot, garnished with green onions or parsley if desired.

Notes

Crispier wings come from drying the skin well before baking.

Using fresh pineapple juice adds extra brightness to the glaze.

Broil carefully and watch closely to avoid burning the glaze.
