Ingredients
1 Butterball turkey breast (bone-in or boneless)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, crushed
1 onion, quartered
1 cup chicken broth
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
2 sprigs fresh thyme
2 sprigs fresh sage
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Layer the bottom of the crockpot with quartered onions and fresh herb sprigs. Pour in chicken broth to cover the bottom.
2. Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Loosen the skin and rub butter under and over the skin.
3. Rub garlic, salt, pepper, and chopped herbs over the turkey breast.
4. Place turkey skin side up in the crockpot on top of the onion and herbs.
5. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or high for 3.5 to 4 hours, until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
6. Optional: transfer to a baking sheet and broil for 4 to 6 minutes for crispy skin.
7. Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
