Description

This Cajun garlic butter chicken linguine in creamy Parmesan sauce is the ultimate comfort food with bold Cajun spices, rich garlic butter chicken, and a smooth, cheesy cream sauce. A perfect weeknight pasta dinner recipe for spice lovers and creamy pasta fans. Easy to make and packed with flavor!

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast

1 ½ tablespoons Cajun seasoning

3 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 garlic cloves, minced

12 oz linguine pasta

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ cup chicken broth

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. Season sliced chicken breast with Cajun seasoning.

3. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through. Set aside.

4. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

5. Pour in chicken broth and simmer, scraping up any browned bits.

6. Stir in heavy cream and simmer gently for 2–3 minutes. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until smooth.

7. Slice the chicken and return to the skillet. Add cooked linguine and toss to coat. Add pasta water as needed to loosen sauce.

8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

This dish is best served immediately, but leftovers reheat beautifully with a splash of cream or broth.

If your Cajun seasoning is salty, go easy on the added salt.

Make it your own by adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the sauce.
