Packed with spicy chicken, cheesy tortellini, and a luscious cream sauce made from cream cheese, mozzarella, and parmesan, this easy chicken pasta dish is perfect for weeknights or special dinners. A bold and creamy Cajun chicken pasta recipe you’ll crave again and again!

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast

9 oz cheese tortellini

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

4 oz cream cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated parmesan cheese

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Cut chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

2. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high. Add chicken and sear for 6 to 8 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

3. Boil tortellini according to package directions. Reserve ¼ cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, melt additional butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.

5. Stir in cream cheese until melted. Add mozzarella and parmesan, and stir until smooth and creamy.

6. Return chicken and tortellini to the skillet. Stir to coat everything in the sauce. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.

7. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh or refrigerated tortellini for best texture.

Add red pepper flakes for extra heat if desired.

Reheat with a splash of cream or milk to maintain sauce consistency.
