Description

Cheesy Garlic Butter Linguine with Beef, Sausage and Spinach is the ultimate comfort food. This creamy pasta recipe combines hearty beef and Italian sausage with spinach and a luscious garlic butter cheese sauce. Ideal for weeknight dinners or gatherings, this linguine dish is rich, satisfying, and full of bold flavor.

Ingredients

450 g linguine

225 g ground beef

225 g Italian sausage (mild or spicy, uncased)

4 cups fresh spinach

4 tablespoons butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

115 g cream cheese

3/4 cup milk or heavy cream

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Break into small pieces while cooking. Drain excess fat and set aside.

2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

4. Reduce heat to low. Stir in cream cheese and milk or cream. Mix until smooth, then add Parmesan and continue stirring until the sauce thickens. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.

5. Return cooked beef and sausage to the skillet. Add the drained linguine and reserved pasta water. Toss to coat evenly.

6. Fold in fresh spinach and stir until just wilted. Serve hot with extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Make sure to use uncased sausage so it crumbles well.

For lighter flavor, use milk instead of heavy cream.

Add a splash of pasta water when reheating leftovers to revive the sauce.
