Description
This Chocolate Covered Cranberry Sauce recipe turns leftover cranberry sauce into a decadent no-bake dessert coated in rich dark chocolate. Perfect for holiday treats or party platters, this easy sweet bite blends tart cranberry flavor with a smooth chocolate shell. Great for gluten-free snacking and gifting.
Ingredients
1 cup cranberry sauce
1 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)
2 tablespoons crushed nuts or shredded coconut (optional topping)
Instructions
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop cranberry sauce into small mounds using a spoon or small cookie scoop. Freeze for at least 20 minutes until firm.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth. Let it cool slightly.
3. Remove cranberry mounds from the freezer. Dip each into the melted chocolate using a fork, letting the excess drip off. Return to the tray and immediately sprinkle with desired toppings.
4. Chill the chocolate-covered cranberry bites in the fridge for 10–15 minutes or until set. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes
Use whole-berry cranberry sauce for best texture and shape.
Add toppings quickly before the chocolate sets for best adhesion.
Serve chilled for a firmer bite and better texture.
