Description

Christmas Magic Layer Brownie Bars are a rich holiday dessert made with a fudgy brownie base, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut, pecans, and festive candy pieces for an easy Christmas brownie bar recipe everyone loves.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 can sweetened condensed milk, 14 ounces

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup butterscotch chips

1 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut

1 cup chopped pecans

3/4 cup red and green candy-coated chocolate pieces

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Lightly grease the paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter and granulated sugar together until combined.

3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then whisk until the mixture looks smooth and glossy.

4. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until a thick brownie batter forms.

5. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.

6. Bake the brownie base for 12 minutes.

7. Remove the pan from the oven and pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the warm brownie layer.

8. Sprinkle the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, shredded coconut, chopped pecans, and candy-coated chocolate pieces evenly over the top.

9. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the edges are set and the top is lightly golden.

10. Cool completely in the pan, then chill for 1 hour for cleaner slices.

11. Lift the bars out using the parchment paper and cut into 16 bars.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs for a smoother brownie batter.

Chill the bars before slicing if you want neat bakery-style edges.

Swap the candy-coated chocolates for white chocolate chips if you want a less colorful holiday look.
