2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 double pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

1 egg (for egg wash)


Instructions

1. Peel, core, and slice the apples. Toss with lemon juice, sugars, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Let sit for 15 minutes.

2. Roll out half the dough into a 12-inch circle. Place in a 9-inch pie dish.
