Description
Classic Cannoli Squares are an easy-to-make, no-bake dessert that captures the creamy ricotta filling and chocolate chip crunch of traditional cannoli in sliceable bar form. Perfect for parties, holidays, and Italian dessert lovers.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 ½ cups whole milk ricotta cheese
¾ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¾ cup heavy cream
½ cup mini chocolate chips
Extra mini chocolate chips for topping
Instructions
1. Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter until well combined.
2. Press the crust mixture into the bottom of a parchment-lined 8×8 inch pan. Chill in the fridge.
3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
4. In another large bowl, combine ricotta, powdered sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Beat until smooth.
5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the ricotta mixture.
6. Stir in the mini chocolate chips.
7. Spread the filling evenly over the chilled crust. Smooth the top.
8. Sprinkle with extra mini chocolate chips.
9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
10. Slice into squares with a sharp knife and serve chilled.
Notes
Use whole milk ricotta and strain it if it’s watery for best texture.
Whip the cream until stiff peaks to avoid a runny filling.
Clean your knife between cuts for cleaner, neater slices.
