Description

Classic Copycat Texas Roadhouse Green Beans are a comforting Southern-style side dish made with canned green beans, smoky bacon, and savory broth. This easy green bean recipe brings restaurant flavor to your home with simple ingredients and big taste. Perfect for holidays, potlucks, and weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

2 cans green beans, drained

4 slices bacon, chopped

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 tablespoon brown sugar

0.5 teaspoon salt

0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. In a large saucepan, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until browned.

2. Add diced onion and cook until soft and golden, about 4-5 minutes.

3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping the bottom of the pan.

5. Add the drained green beans, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

6. Cover and let simmer on low for 20–30 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.

7. Serve warm with some of the savory broth spooned over top.

Notes

Let the beans simmer longer for extra flavor depth.

This dish tastes even better the next day.

Fresh green beans can be used, but blanch them first for better texture.
