Description

Creamy Coquito is a traditional Puerto Rican holiday drink made with coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, spices, and rum. This festive coconut eggnog is perfect for Christmas gatherings, rich in tropical flavor and warm holiday spice.

Ingredients

1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

1 cup cream of coconut

1 1/2 cups white rum

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

2 cinnamon sticks (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Add coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and cream of coconut to a blender. Blend until smooth.

2. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Blend again to mix the spices well.

3. Pour in the white rum and blend briefly or whisk by hand.

4. Transfer to a jar or bottle and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

5. Shake before serving. Serve chilled in small glasses.

6. Garnish with cinnamon sticks or a dusting of ground cinnamon if desired.

Notes

Use cream of coconut, not coconut cream—they’re not the same.

Shake well before each serving as ingredients will settle.

You can reduce the rum for a lighter version or skip it for non-alcoholic Coquito.
