Description

A creamy Velveeta bowtie pasta recipe topped with rich Italian beef marinara sauce. This comfort food classic is cheesy, hearty, and perfect for family dinners. Easy weeknight pasta recipe with Velveeta, ground beef, and tomato sauce.


Ingredients

2 cups bowtie pasta

1 pound ground beef

8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed

1 can (15 ounces) crushed tomatoes

2 tablespoons tomato paste

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 yellow onion, chopped

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes more.

3. Add the ground beef and brown it, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.

4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

5. In a separate saucepan, melt Velveeta cheese over low heat, stirring until smooth. Add a splash of milk if needed.

6. Toss the pasta with the marinara sauce. Drizzle or mix in the cheese sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

Use milk to thin the cheese sauce if it becomes too thick.

Add red pepper flakes to the marinara if you like a bit of spice.

For extra flavor, top with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
