Ingredients
1 pound spaghetti
1 pound ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
12 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
2. Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant.
3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes.
4. While sauce simmers, boil spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
5. Add Velveeta cubes to the sauce and stir until fully melted and creamy.
6. Toss the cooked spaghetti into the sauce and coat evenly. Serve warm with fresh basil or grated Parmesan if desired.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan as an optional garnish.
