Description
These crispy parmesan artichoke hearts are the perfect appetizer or snack, made with simple ingredients like canned or frozen artichoke hearts, parmesan, and breadcrumbs. They’re baked or air fried to golden perfection for a crunchy bite. Ideal for vegetarians, low-carb eaters, or anyone who loves a quick and flavorful finger food.
Ingredients
1 can artichoke hearts (14 oz), drained and patted dry
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs, beaten
olive oil spray or drizzle
Instructions
1. Drain the artichoke hearts well and pat them dry with paper towels.
2. In one bowl, beat the eggs. In another bowl, combine parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
3. Dip each artichoke heart into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly in the parmesan-breadcrumb mixture.
4. Arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet or in an air fryer basket.
5. Spray lightly with olive oil.
6. Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes or air fry at 375°F for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.
7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Pat the artichokes dry thoroughly to ensure they crisp up properly.
Use panko for maximum crunch, but regular breadcrumbs will work too.
Reheat leftovers in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
