Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
1 can kidney beans drained and rinsed
1 can black beans drained and rinsed
1 can diced tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
2. Drain excess fat and add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet.
3. Cook until the onion is soft and fragrant.
4. Transfer the mixture to the crockpot.
5. Add kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste.
6. Pour in the beef broth and stir well.
7. Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
8. Mix everything until evenly combined.
9. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
10. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
Notes
For a thicker chili, reduce the broth slightly or cook uncovered for the last 30 minutes.
You can swap ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
Add jalapeños or cayenne if you prefer a spicier chili.
