Description

Dark Chocolate Eggnog Truffles are the perfect no-bake holiday dessert, combining rich dark chocolate and creamy eggnog with a hint of spice. Ideal for gifting, snacking, or festive trays, these Christmas truffles are easy to make and unforgettable in flavor.

Ingredients

1 cup dark chocolate (at least 60% cacao), finely chopped

½ cup eggnog

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Cocoa powder, powdered sugar, or melted chocolate for coating

Instructions

1. Finely chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.

2. In a small saucepan, heat eggnog and butter over medium heat until just simmering. Do not boil.

3. Pour the warm mixture over the chocolate and let it sit for 1 minute.

4. Stir gently until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

5. Mix in the nutmeg, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.

6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until the ganache is firm.

7. Scoop and roll into small truffle-sized balls.

8. Roll each ball in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, or dip in melted chocolate.

9. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

Truffles can be stored for up to 2 weeks in the fridge.

Use high-quality dark chocolate for the best texture and flavor.

You can freeze truffles for longer storage and thaw before serving.
