Description

This delicious sausage gravy crescent roll breakfast pizza is the ultimate brunch comfort food. Featuring flaky crescent rolls, creamy sausage gravy, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melty cheese, it’s perfect for feeding a crowd or prepping ahead. This easy breakfast recipe is loaded with savory flavor and is a must-try for your weekend mornings or holiday brunch spread.


Ingredients

1 sheet crescent roll dough

1/2 pound breakfast sausage

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups milk

4 large eggs

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a baking sheet. Roll out crescent dough and press seams to form a crust. Bake for 8 minutes until lightly golden.

2. In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Do not drain.

3. Sprinkle flour over the cooked sausage and stir to coat.

4. Slowly add milk while stirring constantly. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

5. In another skillet, scramble eggs until just set. Do not overcook.

6. Spread sausage gravy over the partially baked crust.

7. Add scrambled eggs on top of the gravy.

8. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the eggs.

9. Return to oven and bake for another 8–10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

10. Let cool for 2–3 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

This recipe can be made ahead and reheated in the oven or microwave.

You can freeze individual slices for grab-and-go breakfasts.
