Description

This easy fall caramel apple jam is a cozy blend of sweet apples, warm cinnamon, and rich caramel flavors. Perfect for spreading on toast, drizzling over desserts, or adding a comforting touch to breakfast, this homemade jam captures the essence of autumn in every spoonful.


Ingredients

4 cups apples peeled cored and chopped

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 cup water


Instructions

1. Peel core and chop the apples into small even pieces to ensure they cook evenly.

2. Add the apples and water to a pot and cook over medium heat until softened and slightly broken down.

3. Stir in the brown sugar granulated sugar cinnamon and lemon juice and let the mixture simmer gently.

4. Add the butter and heavy cream stirring continuously until the mixture becomes smooth and caramel-like.

5. Mash or blend the mixture to your preferred texture either chunky or smooth.

6. Continue cooking until the jam thickens to your desired consistency.

7. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract then allow the jam to cool before storing.

Notes

For a deeper flavor use a mix of tart and sweet apples.

Stir frequently during cooking to prevent sticking or burning.

Adjust the thickness by cooking longer for a thicker jam or shorter for a softer spread.
