This creamy, spicy pasta dish combines golden garlic butter chicken and rich Cajun Alfredo mac, finished with crispy onions for a crave-worthy crunch. Perfect for weeknights or entertaining.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tbsp butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 cup heavy cream

3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

8 oz elbow macaroni or pasta shells

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions

1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt 1 tbsp butter.

2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and a pinch of Cajun seasoning.

3. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and add garlic. Sauté until fragrant.

5. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Cajun seasoning. Simmer gently.

6. Add Parmesan and stir until sauce is smooth and thickened.

7. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and add to sauce.

8. Toss the pasta until well coated in the Cajun Alfredo sauce.

9. Add the chicken back into the skillet and mix well with the pasta.

10. Cook together for 2 to 3 minutes until heated through.

11. Serve in bowls and top generously with crispy fried onions.

Notes

This recipe can be made with rotisserie chicken for a shortcut.

Add a splash of milk or cream when reheating to keep the sauce smooth.

Adjust Cajun seasoning for more or less spice depending on your taste.
