Description
This Garlic Butter Tortellini in Creamy Sauce with Beef, Italian Sausage & Spinach is the ultimate comfort food. Made with cheese tortellini, tender ground beef, spicy Italian sausage, and a luscious garlic parmesan cream sauce, it’s the perfect one-skillet dinner idea. Great for pasta lovers craving a rich, creamy dish with protein and greens.
Ingredients
1 pound cheese tortellini
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound Italian sausage
3 cups fresh baby spinach
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Brown the ground beef and Italian sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon until cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
2. Push the meat to one side of the skillet. Melt the butter on the other side, then add the minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
3. Pour in the heavy cream and add salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir and let it gently simmer for 2–3 minutes.
4. Add the cheese tortellini directly to the skillet. Cook for 3–5 minutes or until the tortellini is tender and heated through.
5. Stir in the fresh baby spinach and parmesan cheese. Mix until the spinach wilts and the sauce becomes creamy.
6. Let the entire mixture simmer for another 1–2 minutes to slightly thicken the sauce. Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
Use fresh refrigerated tortellini for the best texture and flavor.
You can substitute kale for spinach if you want a heartier green.
For extra spice, increase the red pepper flakes or use hot Italian sausage.
