Description
These Homemade Brownies are rich, fudgy, and made from scratch with simple pantry ingredients. Perfect for dessert lovers, this easy brownie recipe features a crackly top, chewy center, and deep chocolate flavor. Ideal for baking from scratch, they’re better than box mix and perfect for all occasions.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
1. Melt the butter in a large bowl. While still warm, whisk in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until fully dissolved and glossy.
2. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until smooth.
3. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Gently fold the mixture with a spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.
4. Fold in the chocolate chips or chunks.
5. Pour the batter into a parchment-lined 8×8-inch baking dish and smooth the top.
6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
7. Let cool before slicing. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Do not overbake. The brownies should be set around the edges but still soft in the center.
For extra richness, use a mix of dark and semi-sweet chocolate.
Chill before slicing for clean, bakery-style edges.
