Description

This Homemade Hibachi Yum Yum Sauce recipe is a creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet Japanese steakhouse-inspired sauce. Perfect for dipping shrimp, grilled chicken, or drizzling over fried rice and noodles, this easy sauce is a must-have condiment with everyday ingredients.

Ingredients

1 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon ketchup

1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon sugar

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

2 tablespoons water (adjust as needed)

Instructions

1. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.

2. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise and ketchup until smooth.

3. Add in the melted butter, garlic powder, paprika, sugar, and rice vinegar. Stir until combined.

4. Gradually whisk in the water, adjusting for desired consistency.

5. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Use full-fat mayonnaise for best results.

Chilling is essential to develop the full flavor.

For a spicy version, add a bit of sriracha or cayenne pepper.
