Description

This Honey Lemon Chicken recipe combines tender chicken, sweet honey, and tangy lemon for a quick, flavorful dinner. Perfect for weeknights, naturally gluten-free, and great with rice or veggies.


Ingredients

400 g boneless skinless chicken breast or thigh cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tbsp honey

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tsp lemon zest

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 cloves garlic minced

1 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 2 tsp water

2 tbsp olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon slices and parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

1. Cut your chicken into even, bite-sized pieces and pat them dry with paper towels.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, soy sauce, minced garlic, and cornstarch slurry. Set aside.

3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes.

4. Pour the honey lemon sauce into the skillet, stir to coat, and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened and glossy.

5. Remove from heat, garnish with lemon slices or parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Patting the chicken dry helps it brown better.

Use chicken thighs if you prefer juicier meat.

Don’t overcook the sauce; it thickens quickly.
