Description

These Irresistible Honey Garlic Shrimp Bowls are a fast, flavorful dinner made with juicy shrimp coated in a sticky honey garlic glaze. Perfect for weeknight meals, this easy shrimp recipe is customizable, healthy, and ready in under 30 minutes. Serve over rice, grains, or veggies!


Ingredients

1 lb shrimp

3 tbsp honey

3 tbsp soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

1 tbsp cornstarch

2 tbsp olive oil

¼ tsp red pepper flakes

2 cups cooked rice or grains

2 stalks green onions, sliced

1 tbsp sesame seeds

1 cup vegetables (broccoli, bell pepper, etc.)


Instructions

1. Pat the shrimp dry using paper towels and toss them with cornstarch until evenly coated.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.

3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2 minutes per side until just pink.

4. Pour in the honey garlic sauce and stir to coat the shrimp. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.

5. Spoon rice or grains into bowls. Top with shrimp and cooked vegetables. Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Use peeled and deveined shrimp for easier prep.

Do not overcook the shrimp or they’ll turn rubbery.

Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
