Ingredients
6 chicken thighs
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 medium onion, diced
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup chicken broth
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven and sear chicken on both sides until golden. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same pot, sauté diced onion until soft. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Stir in tomato paste and paprika, cooking for 1 minute.
3. Pour in chicken broth, soy sauce, and honey. Stir to combine. Bring to a simmer and add red pepper flakes if desired.
4. Return chicken to the pan. Cover and let simmer gently for 25–30 minutes, allowing the flavors to develop.
5. Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water, then stir into the sauce to thicken. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes until glossy.
6. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or potatoes. Spoon sauce generously over the top. Enjoy!
