Description

A comforting Lemon Garlic Chicken with Creamy Bowtie Pasta recipe made with juicy chicken, zesty lemon, garlic, and a rich cream sauce. Perfect weeknight dinner idea with creamy pasta, protein-packed flavor, and fresh herbs. Great for family meals or cozy hosting nights.

Ingredients

340g bowtie pasta

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 lemon, zested and juiced

240ml heavy cream

120ml chicken broth

60g grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.

2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and let rest.

3. In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in lemon zest and juice, scraping up browned bits.

4. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add Parmesan and stir until the sauce becomes smooth.

5. Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the pan with the pasta. Toss gently to coat everything in the sauce. Let it heat through for 2 minutes.

6. Taste and adjust seasoning. Top with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

The sauce thickens as it cools; add broth or cream when reheating.

Cook pasta just to al dente so it doesn’t become mushy in the sauce.

Use freshly grated Parmesan for better melting and flavor.
