Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 small yellow onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
12 ounces penne or shell pasta
2 cups Alfredo sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess grease.
4. Add diced onion to the beef and cook for 3 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
5. Pour in the Alfredo sauce and milk. Stir to combine.
6. Add the cooked pasta, half of the cheddar cheese, and the bacon. Stir everything together and let it heat for 2–3 minutes.
7. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese. Cover the skillet and let it sit off heat for a few minutes until cheese melts.
8. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
This recipe works great with any short pasta shape like rotini or shells.
For extra spice, try adding jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat with a splash of milk to loosen the sauce.
