Description

This Mozzarella Garlic Butter Chicken Bowties in Cheesy Cream recipe features tender chicken, garlic butter, and gooey mozzarella tossed with bowtie pasta in a rich cream sauce. Perfect for cozy dinners or family meals, it’s a cheesy pasta dish that delivers comfort and flavor in every bite. Easy, creamy, and irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

2 cups bowtie pasta

1 lb boneless chicken breast

3 tablespoons salted butter

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.

2. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1.5 tablespoons of butter and add chicken. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until golden and fully cooked. Remove from pan and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and add garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Pour in heavy cream, bring to a gentle simmer, and stir in mozzarella and parmesan until the sauce is smooth and melted.

5. Return chicken to the skillet, then add cooked pasta. Stir to combine and coat well. Add pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.

6. Serve hot with additional cheese if desired.

Notes

This recipe is best served fresh for optimal creaminess.

You can substitute bowtie pasta with penne, rotini, or shells.

For a flavor boost, try adding sun-dried tomatoes or spinach in Step 5.
