Ingredients
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup chopped pecans (toasted)
1 cup brown sugar
1 2/3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling or garnish)
Instructions
1. Toast the chopped pecans in a skillet over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often until fragrant. Let them cool completely.
2. In a large bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, cooled pecans, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and melted butter until the mixture becomes a thick dough.
3. Scoop about a tablespoon of dough and roll it between your hands to form a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
4. Roll each ball in powdered sugar or dip into melted chocolate, depending on preference. Place on a parchment-lined tray.
5. Chill the balls in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving to let them set.
Notes
Use toasted pecans to deepen the flavor.
Add a splash of bourbon for an adult version.
Dip in dark chocolate for a richer treat.
