Ingredients
12 frozen dumplings
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
1 cup chopped vegetables (like bell peppers, snap peas, cabbage, or mushrooms)
2 green onions, sliced
1⁄3 cup water
Instructions
1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Arrange frozen dumplings flat-side down and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
2. Carefully pour in water to cover the pan bottom and immediately cover with a lid. Steam for 5 to 7 minutes until dumplings are cooked and water evaporates.
3. Push dumplings to one side. Add a splash of oil if needed and stir in garlic and chopped vegetables. Sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until veggies are tender.
4. Drizzle in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and honey. Gently toss everything to coat in the sauce. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
5. Sprinkle with green onions and serve straight from the pan. Add chili flakes or sriracha for heat if desired.
Notes
This dish is flexible: use any frozen dumplings you love.
Add extra vegetables or mushrooms to boost volume and nutrition.
For extra crispiness, let dumplings sit for another minute after water evaporates.
