Description

This hearty Paleo Cabbage Skillet is a one-pan wonder made with ground beef, green cabbage, onions, and spices. It’s a quick, healthy dinner recipe that’s gluten-free, low-carb, dairy-free, and perfect for meal prep or freezing. Great for paleo, keto, or clean eating lifestyles.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 small green cabbage, shredded

1 medium yellow onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp sea salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Remove from skillet and set aside.

2. In the same skillet, add olive oil and chopped onion. Sauté for 3 minutes until softened. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.

3. Add shredded cabbage to the skillet. Stir and cook for 5 to 8 minutes until wilted. Add a splash of water if needed.

4. Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and cook for 2 more minutes.

5. Serve hot with optional toppings like parsley or avocado.

Notes

Let the cabbage cook down fully to achieve tenderness and sweetness.

For extra richness, top with a fried egg or drizzle of hot sauce.

This recipe is easy to freeze in individual meal prep containers.
