Description

This Perfect Buttered Noodles recipe is the ultimate comfort food—quick, simple, and made with pantry staples like egg noodles and butter. It’s an easy side dish that pairs with any main course and delivers silky, buttery perfection in every bite.

Ingredients

2 cups egg noodles

3 tablespoons salted butter

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons reserved pasta water

Optional: 2 tablespoons grated parmesan

Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Optional: 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

Instructions

1. Fill a large pot with water, bring to a boil, and add salt.

2. Add egg noodles and cook according to package directions until al dente.

3. Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining.

4. Drain noodles and return them to the warm pot.

5. Add butter and stir until melted and noodles are coated.

6. Add black pepper and a splash of reserved pasta water for creaminess.

7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

8. Garnish with parmesan, parsley, or garlic if desired.

9. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

Use high-quality butter for the best flavor.

Reserve pasta water before draining—it helps make the sauce silky.

Egg noodles are best, but any pasta works in a pinch.
