Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs

1 ½ cups chopped gumdrops (avoid black ones)
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until combined.
5. Gently fold in the chopped gumdrops using a spatula.
6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
8. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
