Ingredients
200g steak thinly sliced
200g shrimp peeled and deveined
3 cups cooked rice preferably day-old
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 eggs
2 green onions chopped
1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, etc.)
2 cloves garlic minced
2 tablespoons cooking oil
Instructions
1. Cut the steak into thin strips and season lightly with salt and pepper. Peel and devein the shrimp if needed. Dice vegetables and chop green onions.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sear the steak quickly until cooked and remove. Cook shrimp until pink and remove.
3. Add more oil if needed. Crack eggs into the pan and scramble until just set. Push to one side.
4. Add garlic and sauté briefly, then add vegetables. Stir-fry for a couple of minutes.
5. Add cooked rice, break up clumps, and fry for a few minutes until lightly crispy.
6. Return steak and shrimp to the pan, pour soy sauce and sesame oil over, and toss everything together.
7. Sprinkle green onions, give it one final toss, and serve hot.
Notes
Use cold day-old rice for best texture
Cut steak against the grain to keep it tender
Adjust soy sauce to taste and add chili flakes for spice if desired
