Description

This Shrimp Tortellini Alfredo recipe combines juicy shrimp, pillowy cheese tortellini, and a rich homemade Alfredo sauce for a creamy seafood pasta dish that’s both elegant and easy. A perfect weeknight comfort food with restaurant-quality flavor, ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

9 oz cheese tortellini

1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tbsp butter

1 ½ cups heavy cream

3 cloves garlic, minced

¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

5. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and let it melt completely into the sauce.

6. Return cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.

7. Add drained tortellini and gently combine everything until heated through.

8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

This dish is best enjoyed fresh, but you can refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days.

Add a splash of cream or milk when reheating to loosen the sauce.

Try adding spinach, peas, or mushrooms for extra texture and nutrients.
