Ingredients
1 bunch fresh kale
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
optional seasonings like 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, smoked paprika, nutritional yeast, or chili flakes
Instructions
1. Wash the kale thoroughly and dry it completely using a salad spinner or towels.
2. Remove the stems and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
3. Place the kale in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
4. Massage the oil into the leaves until fully coated.
5. Sprinkle with sea salt and optional seasonings.
6. Spread the kale in a single layer on a baking sheet, avoiding overlap.
7. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
8. Watch closely at the end to prevent burning.
9. Let the chips cool on the baking tray to crisp up more.
10. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container once completely cooled.
Notes
These chips are best eaten fresh but can last up to 2 days in a sealed container.
Be sure to dry the kale very well before baking for maximum crispiness.
Experiment with flavors — try adding nutritional yeast for a cheesy touch or a sprinkle of chili flakes for heat.
