Description

This Spicy Cajun Honey Butter Chicken & Pasta recipe is a creamy, spicy, and sweet weeknight dinner idea made in one skillet. It’s rich in flavor, easy to prepare, and perfect for chicken pasta lovers looking for bold Cajun recipes with honey butter sauce and creamy pasta combinations.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast or thighs

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

2 tbsp butter (for chicken)

2 tbsp honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp paprika

1 tbsp butter (for sauce)

Instructions

1. Toss chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and olive oil.

2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken until golden and cooked through. Set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt butter and add honey and minced garlic. Let it bubble to a golden glaze.

4. Add more butter, then pour in the cream. Stir in Cajun seasoning, paprika, and Parmesan. Simmer until thickened.

5. While sauce simmers, cook pasta al dente according to package directions. Drain.

6. Add pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.

7. Return the chicken to the skillet and stir to warm through.

8. Serve hot with parsley or Parmesan, if desired.

Notes

Use short pasta like penne or rigatoni to help trap the sauce.

If substituting chicken with shrimp, reduce cooking time slightly.

To reheat leftovers, add a splash of cream and warm gently.
