Description

Spooky BOO-schetta is the ultimate Halloween appetizer featuring crispy garlic toast, juicy tomato and basil topping, and spooky black olive spiders. Perfect for Halloween party finger food ideas and festive starters with a fun twist!

Ingredients

16 slices baguette

1 garlic clove

1 cup cherry tomatoes

1 handful fresh basil leaves

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 pinch salt

1 pinch black pepper

20 whole black olives

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into ½-inch rounds and place on a baking sheet. Toast for 6–8 minutes until golden. Rub each toast with a garlic clove while still warm.

2. Quarter the cherry tomatoes and place in a bowl. Add sliced or torn basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss gently and let sit.

3. Cut each olive in half. Use one half for the spider body. Slice the other half into thin legs.

4. Spoon tomato mixture onto each toast. Top with one olive body and arrange 6 legs around it.

5. Serve immediately on a Halloween-themed platter and enjoy the spooky vibes.

Notes

Use a dark platter to make the spiders pop visually.

Toast and tomato mix can be prepped hours ahead.

Only assemble right before serving to keep the toast crisp.
