Ingredients
4 black tea bags
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
4 cups cold water

Instructions
1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil, remove from heat, and steep black tea bags for 5–10 minutes. Discard tea bags and let cool slightly.
2. In a saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, sugar, and 1/4 cup water. Simmer over medium heat until strawberries break down, about 10 minutes.
3. Strain the strawberry syrup using a fine mesh strainer, discarding solids.
4. In a large pitcher, mix the brewed tea, strawberry syrup, lemon juice, and cold water. Stir and adjust to taste.
5. Chill the tea in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
6. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or strawberry slices if desired.
Notes
This tea is best served chilled and over ice.
For a fizzy twist, add sparkling water just before serving.
Use hibiscus tea for a floral, colorful variation.
