Ingredients
2 pounds ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 large eggs
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup tomato sauce
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, eggs, garlic, Italian seasoning, parsley, salt, and pepper until just combined.
2. On parchment paper, press the mixture into a large rectangle.
3. Add mozzarella in the center, leaving edges clean.
4. Roll the meatloaf gently, sealing all edges tightly.
5. Transfer seam-side down to a greased baking sheet or loaf pan.
6. Top with tomato sauce.
7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 45–55 minutes or until fully cooked.
8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
9. Serve warm with extra sauce if desired.
Notes
This meatloaf slices cleaner if it rests before cutting.
Don’t overmix the meat, or it may become tough.
Add crushed red pepper flakes for a spicier version.
