Description

This Sweet and Spicy Garlic Steak Pasta is a bold, flavor-packed dinner idea made with tender steak, garlicky sauce, a kick of red pepper flakes, and a touch of sweetness from brown sugar or honey. Perfect for weeknights or special dinners, this steak pasta recipe brings together sweet, spicy, and savory notes for a dish everyone will love. Great for fans of garlic steak recipes, spicy pasta, or quick dinner meals.

Ingredients

1 lb flank or sirloin steak

8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine

4 cloves garlic, minced

3 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar or honey

1 tsp red pepper flakes

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp chopped parsley or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear for 2–3 minutes per side. Set aside and slice thinly against the grain.

2. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining.

3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar or honey, and red pepper flakes. Simmer to thicken.

4. Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat in sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen.

5. Add sliced steak back to the skillet. Toss until everything is evenly coated and warmed through.

6. Garnish with parsley or green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for the best flavor—it’s the heart of the sauce.

Don’t overcook the steak. A quick sear keeps it juicy and tender.

If reheating, add a splash of broth or water to revive the sauce without drying out the steak.
