Description

These Teriyaki Meatballs are juicy, oven-baked and coated in a sticky homemade teriyaki glaze. Perfect for dinner, meal prep, or appetizers. Includes easy steps and Asian-inspired ingredients.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1 egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

2 green onions, chopped

2 tbsp soy sauce

1/3 cup soy sauce (for sauce)

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tbsp cornstarch

1/3 cup water

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, green onions, and soy sauce. Mix just until combined.

2. Form into 1-inch meatballs and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

3. Bake at 400°F for 18–20 minutes until cooked through.

4. In a saucepan, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water.

5. Simmer over medium heat until the sauce thickens into a glaze.

6. Transfer baked meatballs to a skillet and pour the teriyaki sauce over them.

7. Toss gently and simmer until fully coated and glossy.

Notes

Use ground pork or turkey for a twist on flavor.

Double the sauce if serving over rice or noodles.

Freeze cooked meatballs separately from sauce for easy meal prep.
