Description

This vibrant Thanksgiving Fruit Salad is a refreshing holiday side dish made with crisp apples, juicy oranges, sweet grapes, and pomegranate arils, tossed in a honey citrus dressing. Perfect for balancing out rich Thanksgiving dishes, it’s light, gluten-free, and bursting with fall flavor.


Ingredients

2 apples

2 ripe pears

2 oranges

1 cup pomegranate arils

1 cup seedless red grapes

1/3 cup dried cranberries

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons fresh lemon or orange juice

2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint (optional)

1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)


Instructions

1. Wash and dry all fruits thoroughly. Core and dice apples and pears into bite-sized pieces. Peel and segment the oranges. Halve the grapes if large. Remove pomegranate arils.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey and citrus juice until smooth.

3. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the prepped fruit. Drizzle the dressing over the fruit and toss gently to coat.

4. Sprinkle with chopped mint and nuts if using.

5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to blend.

6. Serve chilled and enjoy fresh within 24 hours for best texture and flavor.

Notes

This salad is perfect for making ahead—just keep it chilled.

For extra crunch, toast the nuts before adding.

If your fruit is very sweet, reduce the honey slightly.
